Craft Beer & Pizza at ZwanzigZ in Columbus, Indiana

Pizza and beer go together like peanut butter and jelly, and ZwanzigZ is successfully pulling off this culinary pairing with style.

My little boy and I got happily acquainted with ZwanzigZ pizza during a Columbus trip last year, but I didn’t get a chance to taste some of ZwanzigZ’s signature beer until a repeat visit with my son and my dad this week.

A Local Favorite for Pizza and Craft Beer

Visitors often know ZwanzigZ first for its pizza, but the brewing side is just as much a part of the experience. Since adding brewing operations in 2011, ZwanzigZ has built a reputation for creative craft beer alongside its popular menu. Under the creative and capable direction of brewmaster Mike Rybinski, ZwanzigZ now churns out an evolving lineup of around 50 different craft beers, a dozen or so are available on site at any given time.

What to Drink at ZwanzigZ

Depending on what’s on tap, guests may find familiar styles like IPAs and porters alongside creative seasonal or specialty brews, from fruit-forward ales to bold stouts. ZwanzigZ has also earned recognition in the Indiana State Fair Brewer’s Cup, including a bronze medal for its bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout.

Rybinski obviously knows what he’s doing here; ZwanzigZ’s bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout nabbed a bronze medal in the Indiana State Fair Brewer’s Cup competition.

Family-Friendly Options, Including Craft Sodas

ZwanzigZ is not just for beer drinkers. The brewery also makes craft sodas in flavors like root beer, orange cream, black cherry, and blue raspberry, making it a fun stop for families or anyone skipping alcohol.

Local trivia adds to the charm: orange cream nods to the Columbus East Olympians, while blue raspberry honors the Columbus North Bull Dogs.
